4 Things I’d Look For If I Audited Your Instagram

and they are all an absolute MUST...

I won’t give you my personal backstory like when food and recipe bloggers give you a timeline of how the recipe evolved from the day they were born in the 90s…

Let’s get straight to it!

1. Your Bio

Why?

Your bio is the first thing people scan to see what you’re about.

What?

You only have a couple of seconds of their attention to tell them what your business is and your CTA (call to action), i.e. what you want them to do.

Idea

  • Use a relevant emoji to add some colour

  • In a few words, write your niche (e.g. online personal coach specialising in HYROX training)

  • Add your main CTA (e.g. book a trial, sign up for my newsletter, join the waitlist for my course)

  • Add a link!!! Whether it’s a google form or a website, get them to do something

2. An introduction to you post

Why?

Your business sounds good, but who is the person behind it?

People want to know what they’re investing in and who they’ll be working with

What?

Allow people to connect with you by introducing some facts about you, both professional and personal.

Idea

  • Do a “I might be a [profession], but I’m also a [hobby]” post

  • Use some visuals of you, both in a professional setting and you enjoying your hobbies

  • Don’t be afraid to show your personality

3. Review or testimonial post

Why?

Word of mouth is one of the strongest forms of marketing.

The fact that someone else has trusted you, you delivered on your promises, and they’ve left a review, has undeniable selling superpowers.

What?

Always ask your clients to spare a few minutes to leave you some feedback, whichever way is preferable to you (google review, via whatsapp, on your website).

Idea

  • Take a screenshot of one of your client reviews from Whatsapp, copy and paste from Google or ask for a voice note review

  • Share your Whatsapp screenshot or google review and dress them up in a carousel, or add voice reviews over a bunch of clips for a reel (if it’s relevant to your service e.g personal trainer)

4. Services post

Why?

They like the look of your business, now they want to know exactly what you offer, and how they can work with you.

What?

Get straight to the point: explain who you work with and what the client will get from each service.

Idea

  • Use a photo/clip of you to build the association between the service and you

  • Give each service a nice title and the benefits - sell the emotion, feeling, or benefits of your service

  • Explain what happens when clients onboard with you

  • Give a low-effort CTA (“comment/DM me”)

Thanks for reading. 😘
